Curriculum Highlights
Students take alternate weeks to study on topics about family, consumer education, food science and textiles technology.
S1: Students learn how to dress decently, learn about good grooming, physical development, basic food preparation and processing skills, gain knowledge on how to keep their home clean and take care of clothes. They also try to cook and make embroideries.
S2: Students make cakes and prepare simple dishes, learn more about nutrition, do food experiments, understand how to be a wise consumer, practice using the sewing machines to make small articles and simple garments for themselves.
S3: STEM education is applied. Students practise making the dishes after learning the scientific principles behind. They also design and make innovative fashion clothes after considering different principles, elements and skills in fabric and clothing construction.
Every year, a performance of fashion dance and fashion show is held to showcase our students’ talents. The models and designers are surrounded by rounds of applause, every schoolmate and guest enjoy the show and give encouragement to their effort, they all feel proud of themselves.
